As The Mandalorian season 3 draws to a close, some sharp-eyed fans have spotted an editing error in the penultimate episode of the Disney+ series. Two Mandalorians strangely have the same armor in one sequence.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian allowed us to learn more about the Mandalorian people in exile, their divisions and their dreams of reconquest. In the penultimate episode (spoiler alert), Bo-Katan manages to reunite two tribes to attack their once-lost planet, Mandalore. But the squad dispatched on the spot falls into the trap of Moff Gideon who was waiting for them with his troops to exterminate them.

Before that, eagle-eyed fans spotted what looks like an editing error. At around 5:04 p.m., the camera zooms out to show the Mandalorian encampment on Nevarro. As you can see from the screenshot below, two characters have the exact same posture and armor, even though each Mandalorian armor is meant to be unique.

The Mandalorian season 3: fans spot two duplicate Mandalorians

“Exactly the same Mandalorians standing a few feet apart in chapter 23. I guess they are…twins?”, quips the Internet user who spotted the blunder. Another viewer calls it “copier-coller, version VFX”. A third fan recalls that this is not the first time such an error has occurred: “If you notice, even in Season 3 Episode 4 at the beach during practice, there’s also a lot of copy/pasting of Mandos, especially in the back.”

It remains to be seen if Disney will edit the offending episodes or if the broadcaster will leave them as is. In recent weeks, many such blunders have been spotted in hit series. One thinks in particular of the presence of cameramen in The Last of Us. Or to the special effects error in House of the Dragon.
