On Saturday evening, “The Masked Singer” was again sung in competition. The seven remaining costumed celebrities performed in front of the jury around moderator Ruth Moschner (47), pop star Rea Garvey (49) and guest juror and comedian Carolin Kebekus (42).

After the performances and additional singing duets, however, one of the masks got it on: She had to “ The Masked Singer”.

Rapping mushroom confuses the jury

The clues showed again: The mushroom wanders through the forest and is always looking for happiness. However, in order to become a real lucky guy, he needs to collect enough Lucky Points.

However, after the mushroom’s appearance on the Lil Nas rap song “Industry Baby”, the mushroom garnered a lot of respect. Rea said he recognized that this genre of music was usually alien to the mushroom: “I had the feeling that the mushroom was outside of its comfort zone. But I say, this is someone who is incredibly professional. I came across Mary Roos. Mary Roos really can do everything!”

However, Ruth Moschner had discovered flowers in the circumstantial clip and tapped directly on a well-known presenter: “The orange flowers, I had a famous Dutch woman in mind: Marijke Amado.” Carolin Kebekus also puzzled away and concentrated on the topic of “happiness”. : “What about the Wheel of Fortune? Maren Gilzer?”

Unfortunately, Ruth Moschner was brilliantly wrong with her tip

The community song, a medley of the two songs “This love” and “Moves like Jagger” by Maroon 5 together with toast and seahorses, however, did not put the prominent jury on the right track.

Marianne Rosenberg is the mushroom

At the end of the evening, Toast and Pilz had to worry about getting ahead until it was clear: The mushroom had to leave “The Masked Singer”. Ruth moderator Marijke Amado (69) still sensed the mushroom costume, and Rea Garvey also insisted on pop singer Mary Roos (74).

However, the viewers chose another hit queen via the app: Marianne Rosenberg (68). And shortly afterwards it actually appeared under the mushroom head!

Moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (52) was enthusiastic: “How great is that please?” Once again she performed her Lil Nas song and shortly afterwards explained why she had enjoyed it very much: “I could just try a different genre. If you otherwise have a different image, the fans take it very badly if you suddenly sing something different.”

She chose “Industry Baby” herself: “I just surfed around. I thought: What’s one of the greatest hits of all time? It had so many millions of clicks that I thought: What is that?”

Something completely different, of course, than for example Marianne Rosenberg’s most famous hit “He belongs to me”, as Rea Garvey noticed when guessing: “Rea noticed immediately that this is not my feel-good area. But that was a challenge. And I find the guy exciting and what kind of music he makes.”

In the next week, the remaining six masks will compete against each other: the seahorse, the creepy spider Diamantula, the hedgehog, the terry cloth elephant, the toast and the shoebill.
