The Messi effect reached South Florida

The city of Fort Lauderdale said the Inter Miami stadium is adding seats to the Drive Pink stadium without proper permission, for which authorities are threatening to issue a stop-work order.

In the past, an agreement has been reached between the parties to build a world-class stadium on land owned by the City of Fort Lauderdale. However, the non-payment of permit fees and the delay in the construction of the park have generated tensions.

Another problem is the current use of the land designated for the park as parking, which prevents its development.

In addition, disagreements over the design of the park and Beckham United’s right to veto certain features of the park have further complicated the situation.

The Fort Lauderdale City Council sent a note to Inter Miami lobbyist Stephanie Toothaker, informing her that the city was in the process of red-tagging the stadium. However, now it seems that they reached a new agreement.

And although permits and payments were missing, according to the agreement, it appears that the parties settled the dispute.
