From the next The Legend of Zelda to Hogwarts Legacy Passing by Starfield or Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the year 2023 promises to be rich in video games not to be missed.
Has the video game sector eaten its black bread in 2022 with the absence of PS5 and of Xbox Series? It is to be hoped by seeing the program and the density of quality video games which are announced for 2023.
Consoles are a little more numerous in stores and players will be able to equip themselves with latest generation models. After a slight loss of speed in sales last year, the pandemic effect having passed and the fault also of many titles reported as the figures ofElden Ring and God of War Ragnarok will not have been enough to hide, the next vintage promises to be grandiose and finally rich in works worthy of the new capacities of the machines.
It’s hard to make a selection of must-watch games in 2023, but we’ve picked its 10 titles to keep an eye out for.
Forspoken
Frey is a young New Yorker who finds herself in spite of herself in the strange world of Athia. Endowed with magical powers, she must come to the aid of the inhabitants whose country is invaded by a strange mist. A game that gives pride of place to magic and parkour.
Square Enix’s game will be released on January 24, 2023 on PS5 (demo available) and CP.
Hogwarts Legacy: Hogwarts Legacy
Back to Hogwarts for fans of JK Rowling’s universe. No Harry Potter or his friends in sight, but a game that takes place in the famous school of wizards and budding witches, but at the end of the 19th century. The player arrives at Hogwarts, chooses their house, and attends classes. Magic wand, fights against strange creatures, spells and hippogriff flight: all the usual elements are expected in this open world to browse and discover.
The game from Warner Bros Games will be available on February 10, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivors
After Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis is back in the guise, once again, of Cameron Monaghan (Shameless, Gotham). More mature and more vengeful, he is now an experienced Jedi still trying to escape the Empire. For this, he can count on old allies like Cere Junda and new ones like the mercenary Bode Akuna. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the kingdom
Apart from a few images distilled in dribs and drabs by Nintendo, we know almost nothing about the story that awaits fans in this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild. In September, Link deigned to show himself in a new trailer finally embellished with a title. tears of the kingdom takes up the elements that made the success of its predecessor on the land of Hyrule (an open world, varied environments, climbing and flying, etc.). Nintendo’s game will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

The lands of the Sanctuary welcome the bravest who will want to rid them of the monsters that have taken control of them.
Blizzard’s game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X⎜S and PC on June 6, 2023.
Starfield
The ambitious title from Bethesda and Xbox is long overdue, but it promises to be awe-inspiring for space exploration fans. This sandbox role-playing game sends the player to multiple planets to explore, colonize and develop. But it will be necessary to know how to face the local fauna and the mercenaries to make bear fruit its colony, to trade with other planets.
Bethesda’s game will be available in the first half of 2023 on Xbox Series X⎜S and PC.
Final Fantasy XVI
The next episode of Final Fantasy is already happening. The medieval world mixed with a bit of fantasy promises mountains and wonders to its players. New characters will bring a breath of fresh air to the franchise which revives the heroic fantasy style of yesteryear. Little information has leaked out, but we just know that the game will live up to the new PS5.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage (current 2023)
The Brotherhood of Assassins celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2022 with the announcement of a new episode ofAssassin’s Creed. Mirage takes players through 9th-century Baghdad and the footsteps of Basim Ibn Is’haq, a street thief spotted in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The future game takes up the codes of the franchise: exploration, infiltration, parkour and combat at the end of an action-adventure game populated by emblematic characters of the time.
Ubisoft’s game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X⎜S and PC at the end of 2023.
Lies of P
This action-RPG game revisits the world of Pinocchio with a Victorian twist. With its disturbing atmosphere and its merciless promised fights, it launches the player in search of Geppetto, the creator of the famous wooden puppet looking like a little boy. Pinocchio will attempt to become human by modifying his body and designing his weapons to survive in a merciless Krat town. But his lies may influence his adventure and the course of history.
Round8 Studio’s game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S⎜X and PC during 2023.

Several other games will come to scatter the weeks in 2023 and are also worth a look. Announced with fanfare a few years ago, then missing before being reborn recently, the pirate game Skull & Bones arrives on March 9 with its naval battles, its boat and its crew to customize and evolve. Fans of the manga will be on the lookout for the arrival of One Piece Odyssey (January 13) with Luffy and all his friends. Very ambitious, which has already caused multiple delays, red fall will be Bethesda’s other Xbox and PC exclusive to watch with its large open world populated by vampires and humans clashing.
The ghosts are also in the spotlight with the castagne of street fighters 6 (June 2), the tremors promised by Alan Wake 2 or the remakes of dead space (January 27), which gave its letters of nobility to space scares, and Resident Evil 4 (March 24). But also Marvel’s Spider Man 2 who will afford two spider-men for the price of a superhero (fall 2023).
Baldur’s Gate 3, a time advertised as an exclusive Google Stadiabut which never saw the light of day in final version, is among the great expectations on PC of 2023.
The beautiful surprises could also come from the poetic and aesthetic Planet of Lana, puzzle game in a universe of science fiction and space travel (2nd quarter 2023), or even Season: a letter to the futurea bicycle race through his memories (January 31).
