In a new hearing in the trial for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa, his mother, Graciela Sosa, decompensated due to a pressure spike, a fact that forced the process to be temporarily suspended.

The event occurred in the afternoon, in the Courts of Dolores, where the trial is taking place against the 8 young people accused of killing Báez Sosa in the coastal town of Villa Gesell, in January 2020.

Once the hearing was over, Graciela and her husband, Silvino Báez, spoke to the media present at the door of the courts and provided details about their decompensation.

“At one point I felt really bad to see how they attacked Fernando. He was already lying on the floor and begged for mercy to stop hitting him. It is very difficult for a mother to see that,” the woman said through tears.

Immediately afterwards, he said: “I lean on God a lot, I hold this rosary tightly, and I think that I have to be strong to continue seeking justice for him. Fernando deserves exemplary justice, that there will not be another Fernando again.”

Finally, he stated that “I loved my son. We loved him with Silvino. We are nothing anymore, we are two unhappy people who walk this world without meaning, but we are going to be strong for him. I feel that justice will be done for Fernando ” .

On a new day at TOC 1, there were moments of tension, when one of Báez Sosa’s friends turned to look at the faces of those accused of the murder.

The event occurred when the lawyer asked if he could recognize one of the attackers and the president of the Court prevented him from doing so.

“Do you want me back?” was the question that the young Thomas D’Alessandro asked the lawyer Fernando Burlando. His intention was to recognize the defendant Lucas Pertossi, whom the witness had previously mentioned as the aggressor.

D’Alessandro was close to Fernando Báez Sosa when the rugby players attacked him, threw him to the ground and beat him until he died. When testifying in the trial for the case, he pointed out that Lucas Pertossi had been one of the aggressors in this whole situation.

When the young witness stopped to point out his location on the television screen where videos of the place and of that night are shown, the witness turned his gaze and, angrily, stared at them for seconds. He did it twice and it was evident throughout the room that there was a resounding silence.

To such an extent that the plaintiff lawyer Fernando Burlando noticed this situation and asked him if the person he had named as the aggressor, Lucas Pertossi, could recognize him in the courtroom.

“Do you want me back?” The young man reacted, to which the president of Court 1 of Dolores, Claudia Castillo, quickly intervened to prevent him because he violated a rule of the Procedural Code.
