The perpetrator of the 2019 massacre in a Texas supermarket is sentenced to 90 life sentences

The Angels.- Patrick Crusius, the self-confessed author of the 2019 massacre at a supermarket in El Paso (Texas, USA).) who left 23 dead, was sentenced this Friday to 90 consecutive life sentences after facing two days of hearings with relatives of the deceased and survivors of the attack directed against Hispanics and immigrants.

Last February, Crusius pleaded guilty to 90 federal counts of murder and hate crimes in the shooting at a Walmart store with a predominantly Latino clientele, in exchange for which the Government did not ask for the death penalty.

However, Texas prosecutors plan to put him on trial again for the same shooting in a statewide proceeding seeking the death penalty. «We’re still going to prosecute the Walmart shooter. And we will still seek the death penalty,” said El Paso District Attorney Bill Hicks.
