Alberto Fernández yesterday intensified the political signals in the sense that he would be refloating his re-election plan. The President gathered the officials of his administration in Chapadmalal and launched a harangue with a campaign tone.

“When I look back, I realize that what we did was impressive,” said the head of state at the meeting. In this context, Fernández stated that “that is why I invite you to face 2023 with great strength and conviction, knowing what we did and working to continue doing more and better.”

The ministers of the national Cabinet and civil servants presented him with a transversal public policy agenda, and the President called on them to “fulfill the utopia of equality” so that “all Argentines can fulfill their dream.”

Likewise, she urged the leaders to “advance with all the issues of gender and diversity that we have pending” because “what we do not do, it is possible that it will no longer be done.”

At the meeting, the leaders agreed on the guidelines to strengthen a transversal agenda with a gender perspective.

The meeting was attended by the Legal and Technical Secretary, Vilma Ibarra; the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti; the Ministers of Social Development, Victoria Tolosa Paz; Cheers, Carla Vizzotti; Labor, Employment and Social Security, Raquel “Kelly” Olmos; and from Women, Gender and Diversity, Ayelén Mazzina.

Also present were the secretaries of International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco; Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Innovation, Cecilia Nicolini; of Sports, Inés Arrondo; Tourism Promotion, Yanina Martínez; for Management and Public Employment, Ana Castellani and for Public Innovation, Micaela Sánchez Malcolm.

The presidential adviser, Dora Barrancos, and the head of INADI, Greta Pena, also participated. Also present at the meeting were the presidents of Banco de la Nación Argentina, Silvina Batakis; from the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies, Marisol Merquel; from Radio and Television Argentina Sociedad del Estado (RTA), Rosario Lufrano and from Agencia Télam, Bernarda Llorente.

Fernández has been giving signs that he is embarking on his re-election project, beyond the rejection that this plan generates in Kirchnerism. And the meeting with his officials seemed inscribed in that logic.
