Junior Moralesknown by the audience due to his work as an announcer in different television and radio spaces, has left Cuba.
the independent journal 14ymedio confirmed that Morales left the country and feels as if he has left a prison.
“I feel as if I had taken off old clothes, as if my skin had left me there, it’s like leaving a prison,” he explained during an interview with the aforementioned medium.
“When you manage to get on the plane, and you leave and arrive at another place, you say ‘noooo, I left.’ Notice that I had shortness of breath at home and here I no longer have shortness of breath. I feel so much better, like I got rid of something very ugly, horrible.”
Although so far, the announcer preferred not to reveal his destination country, he commented that he feels grateful to leave his place of origin, where he was in the crosshairs of the political police for his continuous criticism in networks.
The reprisals against him began on September 11, 2020, when he asked for respect for the Cuban people and that they not make fun of giving the population guts and decrepit chickens “without explaining where so much meat is going and I affirmed that the remains will be eaten by the government”

His position radicalized after the death of his mother in 2021, which he claims was left to die in a hospital in August 2021 due to a lack of medication.
The announcer stated that “the worst thing about living in Cuba is the bad government. Without those corrupt businessmen in power, I could travel, but I would never leave Cuba. I am like all those passionate people who dream of seeing their land free, prosperous and happier”.
