The Rare Disease That Makes Skin Grow Too Fast Look Burnt

There is a rare genetic skin disease that causes abnormal thickening and hardening of the outer layer of the skin, giving it a rough, scaly appearance. This is epidermolytic ichthyosis, a disorder that affects the production of a protein called keratin.
