The sea rescue society in Kristinehamn is looking for more volunteer sea rescuers, as their daily schedule barely keeps afloat. If they don’t get more volunteers in, there is a risk that safety at sea will be affected.
– In the long term, safety is threatened if we do not get a more stable operation, says Jessica Lindqvist, lifeguard in Kristinehamn.
Even before the pandemic, they went out and looked for more volunteers for the sea rescue. That time it was successful, but it hasn’t given quite the same response on this occasion, but Jessica Lindqvist remains optimistic.
– Kristinehamn is an archipelago city, I am convinced that there are many volunteers out there who do not know about it but who will now.
