A group of houses in the neighborhood Jose Luis Cabezas they set themselves on fire and caused panic in the area in the early hours of this Tuesday. As reported by Ensenada Security authorities four houses were affected and the fire would have started when a child was playing with a lighter near his bed.

A neighbor contacted 0221.com.ar to show how the flames took away one of the homes, located at 53 between 123 and 124, sector 5. Official sources confirmed that, fortunately, no one was injured. The affected neighbors were four people from the Peruvian community, two women (36 and 60) and two men (38 and 54): they were housewives, and they were porters.

The flames reached such a size that they caused a great commotion in the area, worrying all the neighboring residents of the houses affected by the fierce fire. Neighbors of the place sent different images to this medium that show the ferocity with which the fire devastated the place.

The fire source that reached four houses was rescued by fire departments from Ensenada and Berisso who were in charge of rescuing the affected families after being alerted by the neighbors.

Subsequently, the victims approached the Fire Department headquarters to request a report denouncing the incident, in order to access municipal aid to rebuild the polling stations.

The block where this last event occurred is the same one where in April 2022 two children died from a fire in a food cart that caught fire with them inside. The victims were an 11-year-old girl and another 5-year-old, who died at that moment after being engulfed in the flames. Another 3-year-old girl was also affected and ended up with severe burns on her body.
