The preliminary results of the autopsy carried out on the body of Rolando Lara, the 24-year-old young man who was admitted lifeless to the Monte Carlo hospital last Sunday as a result of a stab wound to the abdomen, yielded shocking results.
According to the data provided by spokespersons involved in the investigation, the forensic study showed that the only injury the victim had was exerted with great force and that it pierced the heart.
On the other hand, in the preliminary conclusions of the forensics there was also a record of several bruises and blows that Lara had on her face, arms and rollers. And that they would indicate different marks of defense that the young man would have had during the confrontation that he had with his aggressor.
It was also specified that the penetrating injury that caused the death of the young man was caused with a knife blade of more than four centimeters, which would indicate that the murderer used a butcher-type knife to carry out the crime.
It is worth mentioning that so far investigators have not been able to locate the murder weapon.
Three detainees in sight
Based on the evidence available so far in the case, it is known that Lara was attacked around 6:30 p.m. last Sunday, in the Henter neighborhood of Monte Carlo.
The reconstruction indicates that the young man traveled on a motorcycle with his two young children to his ex-partner’s house, in the aforementioned neighborhood.
After delivering the children to the woman, with whom Lara spent the previous days, an argument apparently began between the father and another 21-year-old man, the woman’s current partner.
Witnesses who testified before the Police indicated that it was Lara who had a knife at her waist and that it would have been he who started the fight with the owner of the house. However, other testimonials affirm the opposite, so for the moment it is not clear which of the two young men led to the confrontation.
Always according to the contributions provided by the sources consulted, the fight moved from the front of the house to the nearest corner, where the deadly thrust occurred.
Lara would have been stabbed on the boulevard of Festcher avenue, although he recently collapsed badly injured on one of the sidewalks in the area after traveling several meters.
This is where police officers who arrived at the scene located the first suspect in the case.
This is a 28-year-old man, ln’s cousin had threatened him with a knife in his own home.
It is expected that the three suspects will be transferred to an investigative statement next Sunday before the Investigating Court One of Puerto Rico, where they will be notified of the evidence that exists against them.
Meanwhile, and by court order, during the last hours various searches were carried out in the defendants’ homes, although the murder weapon could not be located in any of these properties.
Farewell and possible departure
On the other hand, yesterday the family of Rolando Lara said goodbye to his remains in the local cemetery. A large number of friends and relatives of the deceased said their last goodbye to the young man.
While from the surroundings of Lara they indicated that they are considering carrying out a peaceful march through the town in the coming days to ask for Justice.
