Here comes a dose of furry news that will surely please all animal lovers. Stray developer Annapurna has started supporting various animal organizations to help stray cats, something that was revealed in a new interview with PBS. The collaborations have taken different forms, but central to all of them is that the game Stray has been the draw in one way or another.

Among other things, the Nebraska Humane Society has given out game keys in exchange for donations, something that helped them collect more than 80,000 kroner. Rafael Almeida from Gatos De Francisco in Brazil also talks about their collection which helped them give new homes to 25 cats. Annapurna has also chosen to sponsor a so-called walkathon that was organized for the benefit of the Stray Cat Relief Fund, which raised more than SEK 40,000.

It is so wonderfully nice that you spin with joy in your office chair. And as you all know, there’s probably no other animal we here at Gamereactor love quite as much as kittens. Especially editor-in-chief Petter, he worships them like the Egyptian pharaohs.

Have you played Stray and what do you think of these sunshine stories?
