Next year, “the water park capital of the world” will host a giant, colorful slide, not for those with a fear of heights.
The Rise of Icarus, which will be the tallest water attraction in the country at 145 feet tall, is scheduled for the Mount Olympus Water and Theme Park of Wisconsin Dells, park owners announced Wednesday in a news release. The outdoor attraction is part of an $8 million park expansion, which includes the addition of a new children’s play area with 10 new slides and additional water features.
Construction on the new slide will begin after Labor Day. Its inauguration is scheduled for the summer of 2024.
