With over 300 different roles under his belt, Earl Boen is one of Hollywood’s true giants, but most people are probably most familiar with his character Dr. Peter Silberman from the first three Terminator films. Unfortunately, it has now been confirmed by Variety that the actor left us after a long battle with lung cancer.

Boen, who turned 81, began his career back in 1974 in an episode of Great Performances and has since handled an incredible number of different, varied roles. Including Battle Beyond the Stars, Airplane II: The Sequel, The Man with Two Brains, My Stepmother Is an Alien, Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult, The Dukes of Hazzard, Soap, M*A*S*H* , Growing Pains, Baywatch, Tales From the Crypt and much, much more.

He truly had an incredible career in film and television and is survived by his wife Cathy, stepdaughter Ruby and several grandchildren. An incredibly sad loss and our condolences go out to his family.

What is your best memory of Earl Boen?

Rest in peace.
