Juarez City.- The woman murdered last Thursday, May 11, inside a house in the Chihuahua neighborhood was officially identified as Jazmín Alba Martínez, 23, who died from a bullet impact to the head, reported staff from the Prosecutor’s Office General of the State (FGE).

The victim was officially identified by his family, who claimed the body before the Crimes Against Life Investigation Unit, the institution announced.

The journalistic monitoring of this crime indicates that from January 1 to May 11, 51 women were deprived of their lives and seven of these crimes were classified as femicides, reported the Specialized Prosecutor for Women (FEM).

The armed attack against Jazmín Alba Martínez occurred inside a house located at the intersection of Antonio Díaz Soto y Gama and Isla Giván streets, in the Chihuahua neighborhood, to the west of the city, reported a municipal police commander in the the place of the scene.

The agents of unit 119 of the Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPM) were the first to arrive at the place indicated in two citizen reports. The first responders found the body, which presented various bullet wounds as external traces of violence, one of them to the head.

The body was left inside the small farm that is located on top of a hill and in conditions of evident deterioration, reported municipal police from the Central District.
