Xbox updates resume in January, and Microsoft has just released version 2302.230104-2200 with a new feature for groups of friends. Please note, this new feature is currently only available for Alpha ranks of the Xbox Insider program: how to register and get Xbox updates in advance.
Find your latest groups of friends in the blink of an eye
The Xbox interface is still being modified by Microsoft teams and while a new version is expected for this year, something new has arrived for Insiders members.
If you’re an Alpha Rank Xbox Insiders and you’ve applied the latest Xbox update, what’s new can be found under the “Groups & Chats – Recent Games” tab of the menu that appears when you press the ” Xbox” on your controller.
In two clicks, it is now possible to access recent groups of friends. You can now see the list of your recent groups, choose one and edit the list, send invitations to selected users and relaunch a group. You can also invite users from recent groups to the one you are currently in.
Note that these new options are currently accessible in two different places depending on the user. For some, you have to click on the “start a group” button on the dedicated tab while for others, you have to select the “Games” button in the “Groups and conversations” tab before accessing recent groups . Microsoft is certainly doing an AB test to see what is the preferred way for gamers to access this new option.
So this is an interesting novelty for those who regularly find themselves playing together and who would like to save a little more time to create the same group of friends as the day before.
