The news that Warner Bros. and New Line are planning more Lord of the Rings movies has worried fantasy fans the world over, as it has not been clear what exactly the movies are about. However, fans can take solace in the fact that Warner is at least maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the Oscar-winning director regarding the Lord of the Rings film future:
“Warner Brothers and Embracer have kept us in the loop every step of the way. We look forward to speaking with them further to hear their vision for the franchise moving forward.”
It’s also not entirely clear what role he and his loyal writing partners Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens could potentially have, but the comment above might provide some reassurance until Warner Bros gives the movie world a little more clarity on the matter.
