There are about 40 hours of oxygen left in a submarine that disappeared during an excursion to the remains of the Titanic

OceanGate Expeditions CEO Stockton Rush is aboard the submarine that went missing during a mission to explore the wreckage of the Titanic, the company said Tuesday.

Only 41 hours of oxygen would remain on the submarine, which is carrying five people, a US Coast Guard official said at a news conference on the search operations.

The submersible is part of an OceanGate Expeditions excursion that offers passengers a once-in-a-lifetime experience exploring the wreckage of the famous ship. She disappeared on Sunday after losing contact with the research ship Polar Prince.

British billionaire and Action Aviation owner Hamish Harding is among the five people on board, as well as Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son, Suleman. The other people on board have not been identified.
