Many people have gotten used to receiving new video games constantlyeven deliveries of the same franchise annually like Call of Duty, FIFA and others that we all know. This is why so many people complain or don’t understand Rockstar Games’ long developments… especially over the last decade.
Let’s think back: GTA IV was released in 2008 and GTA V was released in 2013, giving us a time span of 5 years. We believe that GTA VI will be released in 2024, that is: 11 years since the last installment. And forgive me for not counting the nonsense of GTA Trilogy.
On the other hand, Red Dead Redemption I was released in 2010 and Red Dead Redemption II in 2018, so we have 8 years in the middle. Recent rumors indicate that we will have a remastering of RDRI. Assuming that it is true and placing its release in 2023-2024, it gives us a span of 5-6 years. Little joke!
Knowing all this, many wonder: why the hell does Rockstar Games take so long to make their video games?
