These are the 20 highest rated video games on Metacritic during the first half of 2023, among which there are some surprises

We have just entered the second half of this year not long ago, which until now has not stopped giving us joy and reasons for any video game fan to be excited, because titles of all kinds have been put up for sale and among them a few masterpieces that leave their mark.

That has led Metacritic to post a list in which they appear the 20 games with the highest average grade during the first half of 2023. A list on which it must be emphasized that a few multiplatforms appear on it, but it does not mean that they have the same note in all versions.

For example, Street Fighter 6 has a 92 on PS5, while on Xbox Series X it stays with a 90. For this reason, only the platform on which the best rating has been obtained has been taken into account. In addition, those titles that do not have a minimum of seven different analyzes and neither are the compilations, the too recent ports, the expansions or the downloadable content.

Starting from this base, Nintendo Switch leads the podium with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as the king of the list and followed by Metroid Prime Remastered, while the remake of Resident Evil 4 stays with the third position. Even so, there is also room for surprises, such as with The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog or A Space for the Unboundwho have managed to sneak into the list.
