After unveiling the esports plans for PUBG Mobile, Tencent confirms that the main title on computers and consoles will also see news for 2023, in particular thelaunch of the team partner program for PUBG Esports. Selected teams will receive various benefits throughout the year.

This is the first year that PUBG Esports will feature a Global Partner Team Program, similar to that seen in other esports titles like VALORANT in the VCT. Selected teams will receive financial benefits and a guaranteed slot in the PUBG Global Series, but how were they chosen? Publisher KRAFTON considered three key factors: governance, fandom and history.

The first is the stability of the organization and its future commitment to the esports scene; the second, of course, is determined by team value for the community and its global presence, i.e. the audience it can lead to following PUBG; finally, the third represents the history and structure of the company in the sector.

Non-partner teams will still be able to participate in PUBG Esports events in 2023 through Qualifiers. But what, then, are the PUBG official partners? You can find them below:

  • Four Angry Men
  • 17Gaming
  • FaZe Clan
  • Gen.G
  • SHIPS
  • Patrick Road
  • Soniqs
  • twisted minds

Given the different origins of these global partner teams, this will ensure a large variety of teams and the ability to reach a wider audience with battle royale competitions.

Speaking of PUBG Mobile, did you know that the title has generated $9 billion in revenue since launch?
