Police are investigating the illegal appropriation of 18 rings of 10 carats each, which occurred at around 8:27 pm on Sunday, at the Walmart megastore located in the Reina del Sur Shopping Center, in Ponce.
According to the complainant, a person would have forced the lock on the door of the showcase in the jewelry area and appropriated the merchandise, valued at $8,864.
The case was referred to the Property unit of the Ponce Criminal Investigation Corps.
