And yes it seems both Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are on board the project.
Disney is preparing a sequel to ‘Freaky Friday’
As some will remember, not long ago a rumor spread that the sequel to Freaky Friday. The reason? A photo shared by Jamie Lee Curtis on February 10 where he wrote “It’s Friday! I just mention it… cross your fingers”put the legendary actress.
That single photo triggered a wave of suspicions and all kinds of theories that, of course, were not confirmed… at least until now. This Wednesday May 10, right on Mother’s Day (what better time to do it), it was reported that the sequel to Freaky Friday is on the waythis 20 years after the film that Disney released in 2003.
This was confirmed by The New York Timesrevealing that Disney is developing the project with Elyse Hollander as a screenwriter, who according to various sources, has been assistant director of Alejandro González Iñárritu in Birdman.
There is no release date yet, but Lindsay and Jamie would return
