In the town of Puerto Iguazú, a man was arrested for street harassment. The procedure was finalized after several weeks of arduous intelligence work carried out by members of different dependencies of this Regional Unit V who were investigating the denounced facts.
The apprehension took place after a 21-year-old girl alerted the officers that she was the victim of street harassment by an unknown subject in command of a red 110 cc motorcycle, who this morning ended up detained by means of a bolt operation and after a pursuit controlled by members of the URV Radioelectric Command Division.
It was yesterday, Tuesday, when the victim went to the members of the Women’s Police Station, stating that moments before she was riding her motorcycle with a relative on Güembe street, a few meters from reaching Victoria Aguirre avenue, she was surprised by the person on board of a motorcycle and when crossing by his side he touched his leg, chasing him for several blocks but the stalker managed to flee.
Through the exchange of information with other police units, another important piece of information handled by the Police personnel is that other facts investigated were carried out with the same modus operandi and with the collaboration of the testimonies provided by the other victims, it was possible that the police draw up an identikit of the suspect in the framework of the investigation.
It was thus that another important contribution to the investigation were the film records of a commercial premises collected in this last event. For this reason, in the early hours of this Wednesday, around 1:30 a.m., the Police identified a young man with similar characteristics to those already obtained in the investigation who, upon seeing the uniformed officers, fled from the police officers in command of his motorcycle, to finally be arrested. at the intersection of Néstor Kischner and República Argentina avenues.
This is a 28-year-old man residing in the city, who would have been involved in at least seven events, the first of which was reported in November. On the other hand, the man was housed in police headquarters at the disposal of Justice, and they also seized the motorcycle vehicle he was driving.
