In the last hours, police personnel chased two criminals who were riding a motorcycle, after they evaded a police control in the area of 22 and 455.
Working together, the Patrol Command carried out a lockdown operation and managed to stop the escape of the criminals in the area of 456 between 20 and 21. After giving up the escape on a motorcycle, they tried to continue on foot and were apprehended a few meters.
When one of the criminals threatened the officers with a weapon, a uniformed officer opened fire and caused the thief to fracture the tibia and fibula, who had to be transferred to the Gonnet Hospital, where he remains in police custody.
After the criminals dispensed with the weapon, the security agents kidnapped it and identified that it was a prop weapon.
On the other hand, the accomplice was apprehended and they are facing charges for “concealment”, “resisting authority” and “possession of a prop weapon”, the Prosecutor’s Office No. 5 of the Department of Justice of La Plata is involved in the case.
