President-elect Santiago Peña had a pleasant interview with Marcelo Tinelli, with whom he took the opportunity to recall some anecdotes from his youth, the reasons why he decided to venture into politics and the ties that unite him with Argentina.

The former Minister of Finance recalled part of his past and mentioned that, At just 12 years old, his father had to travel to Argentina, where he lived for several years. Time after he met his mother, whom he later married and started a family.
In the year 1976, his parents made the decision to return to Paraguay to look for better opportunities, settling permanently in our country after a few years working on Argentine soil. “It was quite a shock.”

At that point in the interview, Peña recognized the strong ties that unite him with Argentina in view of the past of their parents and everything they managed to build during their stay there before returning to the country.
