The local Defense Ministry reported, early this Sunday, that the “anti-aircraft defense thwarted an attempted terrorist attack by the Kiev regime with drones in Moscow.” He specified that two drones, neutralized with radio electronic resources, deviated from their route and collided with skyscrapers in the City of Moscow and the fragments of the other, shot down as it approached the capital, scattered in Odintsovo.

Judging by the videos circulating on the Russian segment of social media – in contrast to the 6 and 10 a.m. newscasts on public television, which said nothing about this attack – one of the skyscrapers affected, known As IQ-District, it houses in its 50 floors offices of three ministries of the Russian government – ​​Economic Development; that of Industry and Commerce; and that of Digital Development, Communications and Media–, as well as several second-level federal agencies.

An explosion at the height of the fifth and sixth floors broke the windows and, before the police cordoned off the area, according to late-night witnesses, documents from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Media were lying on the ground.

The other drone impact – in the videos of this explosion it can be seen that the first to fourth floors were left without glass – occurred in the Oko-2 skyscraper and it is said that a security guard received injuries.

The 14-story building belongs to a company formed by the Moscow mayor and billionaire Gavril Yushbayev, and one of its main tenants is the Yandex consortium (a sort of Russian Google) that rents 20,000 square meters and also wanted 45,000. meters remaining, but Hyundai and S8Capital were ahead of it, there were also offices of other large foreign companies, many of which left the Russian market due to sanctions.
