The LT3-Rosario (AM680) radio transmitter plant, located in the town of Alvear, 15 kilometers from the city of Santa Fe, was shot at by two people who were on a motorcycle and who passed through the place when two employees They were carrying out repairs, since the headquarters itself had been vandalized before, which prevented its programming from airing, police sources and the Rosario Press Union reported today.

According to the investigation, the attack occurred at a time when two radio workers, guarded by a police patrol, were carrying out repairs on the equipment, which a while before had suffered damage, graffiti and the wiring on fire, as a result of which the station stopped going on the air.

When the workers were in the middle of the repair task, two people who were on a motorcycle passed by the place, turned around and fired several shots.

The attack was repelled by the police officers of the Radioelectric Command who were guarding the outskirts of the place and the shooters managed to flee without injuring anyone, the informants added.

“It is a serious fact that only by chance did not take the lives of our colleagues, who are shocked by the situation they went through in the midst of the machine gun shooting and the police response,” denounced the Rosario Press Union in a statement broadcast this noon.

The last attack on the transmission plant occurred a month ago, on March 28, when unidentified people entered the property, located in a rural area, and stole cables.

Something similar happened on February 27 of last year, on January 29, 2021 and during the mandatory preventive social isolation (ASPO), at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, on April 6, 2020.
