A brewery in La Plata was at the center of the controversy after a man denounced that they do not let people over 40 years of age enter. The client, who used to go regularly to the place, experienced an uncomfortable situation when he went for a work meeting and was fired due to his age.

According to what he told 0221.com.areverything happened in The Arts Cultural Brewerylocated on Avenida 7 between 58 and 59. He went there last Wednesday around 7:00 p.m. to meet one of his children and a mutual friend to talk about work.

Nevertheless, when he chose the table at which they were going to sit, the person in charge of controlling the entrance approached and, after greeting him in a good manner, politely told him that he could not remain in the brewery. The client was surprised and even thought it could be a joke, but the worker told him that there was a direct order from his superiors not to allow the entry of people over 40 years of age.

As they explained to him, The owners of the business made that determination after an altercation occurred between an older adult and a minor, which motivated the measure to adjust the entrance to the age group between 18 and 40 years. Despite being politely asked to leave, the man he felt discriminated against and decided to report what happened.

In a statement that he sent to this medium, he expressed his disagreement with what he had experienced and asked that the authorities take action on the matter to prevent these cases that affect people his age: “If you were born before 1983, it is important that you know that in the cafe, bar, Las Artes brewery, which is located on Avenida 7 between 58 and 59 in the city of La Plata, you will not be allowed to enter or stay inside of its facilities”began the letter, and added: “After having selected the table at which we would be located, the person in charge of controlling the entrance to the premises approaches me, and after exchanging greetings, in a good manner and with very good manners, I reports that I cannot stay in business. After the first moment of astonishment and after verifying in my calendar that it was not April Fool’s Day, I ask if it was a joke, he tells me that due to a direct order received from his superiors, ‘entry is not allowed for people over 40 years of age'”.

“From the foregoing and taking into account the explanation offered by the Las Artes staff, there is undoubtedly strong evidence that all of us born before the year 1983 are stalkers, pedophiles, buffoons, buffoons, buffoons, and/or rapists,” he continued, and concluded: “I wish the management of Las Artes a long life, commercial prosperity and continued success.”

It is worth noting that, according to Law 26,370 on access control to nightclubs, the owner of a venue can apply the right of admission and not let a person enter for various reasons. Meanwhile, the right of permanence is the right of the owner of the nightclub or organizer of the show to ask a person to leave the place.

In this sense, the regulations establish that these rights can be exercised only for objective reasons and that the reasons for not letting in must be applicable to anyone who is in the same situation. In this case, the Las Artes brewery should put up a sign and apply the same measure for everyone over 40, just as it did with the aforementioned client.
