They denounce the impunity of the driver who collided with a young woman in Havana: "They do not do anything"

Friends of a young Cuban who lost a leg in a traffic accident in Havana denounced the impunity enjoyed by the driver involved in the incident, whom they identify as Misael Calzada Rodríguez.

According to a Facebook post by Internet user Raisa Velázquez, the police “do nothing” and the alleged “irresponsible driver” continues his life “very happy, enjoying the beach and drinking beer.”

“This guy deserves jail and you do nothing,” he said in a message for State Securitythe Counterintelligence and the National Revolutionary Police, which he described as “immoral”.

He explains that on January 17 he collided with Landy Núñez in zone 7 of Alamar “and justice has not yet taken action on the matter.”

Calzada Rodríguez “continues with his license, driving and hesitating, while Landy underwent days of blood transfusions, surgeries and lost his leg.”

“Where is justice here?? The jails full of innocents and the streets full of brazenscoundrels, criminals, pedophiles,” denounces the woman.

He assures that after seeing what has happened with this case, he no longer believes in justice.

“I DO NOT believe in you because every day you show that you do EVERYTHING wrong, do not knock on my door because you, State Security, Counterintelligence, National Revolutionary Police, are all immoral,” he stressed at the end of his message.

The young man appears to have recovered from the accident, and apparently already masters the prosthesis on his leg.

In an incredible display of resilience, he congratulated himself and said that he was going to eat the world: “I want to thank them (the doctors) and congratulate myself for being a warrior. I already have my prosthesis and I am going forward to eat the world Thank you to all those people who wish me well,” he posted on his Facebook.

The traffic accidents they claim hundreds of lives annually in Cuba.

Between January and May 2023, 3,620 traffic accidents occurred on the island, which resulted in 290 deaths and 2,807 injuries, according to official figures.
