Mexico City .- A judge ordered preventive detention for Carlos “N”, brother of drug trafficker Rafael Caro Quintero.
The subject was arrested on February 6 of this year in Lomas de Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo Mayor’s Office, when he was driving a gray Mercedes Benz truck with the license plates covered, with a short firearm, four magazines and 33 useful cartridges of those not verified its legal origin.
In the initial hearing, the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office charged him with the possible commission of crimes against health and possession of a firearm for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy and Air Force.
The judge qualified the arrest made by police from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) as legal and the Public Ministry agent asked that he be linked to the process.
However, the defense of Carlos “N” requested the duplicity of the constitutional term, which was granted.
Until the hearing is continued, the defendant will remain in the North Male Preventive Prison.
The aforementioned person is declared innocent until there is a conviction against him.
