Fans are celebrating EA’s Motive Studio and their incredible attention to detail on Isaac’s outfit for their newly released remake of dead space.

With truly remarkable fidelity to every aspect of Dead Space Remake, the minutiae of the environmental effects in the textures stand out with their subtle but significant impact.

Dead Space Remake arrived on January 27 to great reception, lauded not only as a faithful recreation of Visceral Studio’s cult original, but also as a title that elevates its source material through positive and impactful changes.

Of course, the graphical facelift takes center stage, using ray tracing and DLSS for a wonderfully immersive experience. Dismembering massive alien slaves in dimly lit corridors looks and feels great, as Motive Studio has also fine-tuned the movement and combat systems.

Although the story remains largely unchanged, the change from a mute protagonist to a voiced Isaac in Dead Space adds a clever personal touch and sense of pathos to the game’s main character.

Reddit user Joejackson6521 shared his discovery of a subtle detail in Isaac’s costume in Dead Space. During some segments of the gameplay, Isaac must exit the closed corridors of the USG Ishimura and enter the frigid void of space.

Surprisingly, Motive Studio has taken the plummeting temperature into account, coating Isaac’s suit in a layer of frost for those gameplay segments, which slowly melts when it returns to the warm parts of the ship. This, coupled with the realistic blood and gore splatter on the suit, demonstrates the great attention to detail that Motive Studios has put into their Dead Space remake.
