They identify "armed and dangerous" subjects in shooting against grandfather and grandson in Philadelphia

Three young men are wanted by the Philadelphia Police in connection with the shooting in which a grandfather and his grandson were injured and crashed into a gas station on Passyunk Avenue on June 24.

They are reported to be Antwan Grimes, 21, Keon Smith, 22, and Amor Johnson, 19. All are residents of the City of Brotherly Love and are currently listed as fugitives from justice.

The gore took place on Saturday, June 24 at about 5:49 pm in the 6100 block of Passyunk Avenue.

Investigators said that two people, aged 71 and five respectively, were found shot inside a Nissan Maxima that crashed into one of the railings that protects a station’s gasoline pump.

The vehicle had multiple bullet holes, while the older adult, 71, sustained a single shot to the lower back, while the younger, five-year-old, sustained a bullet wound to the shoulder. The former remains in critical condition at Penn Presbyterian Hospital.

The boy’s father said his father and his offspring were chased by a Kia K5 vehicle that was located by investigators in the rear of the 6100 block of Buist Avenue with a Florida license plate. This particular car is listed as one of those stolen from car rental sites at Philadelphia International Airport in the past few weeks.

The Philadelphia Police Investigations Unit identified the three suspects and listed them as “armed and dangerous.” Anyone who recognizes them or has additional information can call 215-686-8270 or send an anonymous tip to 215-686-TIPS.

So far the cause of the shooting against the grandfather and the child remains unknown.
