Concert irregularities

The concert was scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, but failures in the organization and flight connections caused the singer to arrive late in the country and take the stage at 4:00 a.m. on Monday the 11th, when thousands of attendees had already left the La Carlota air base, where the event was being held, located in the east of Caracas.

Santos, known as the King of Bachata, apologized to the public and blamed the producers for the delay, classifying what happened as a: “lack of respect against you, the public, towards my musicians, my technicians and this servant.” said the singer of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent, born in the Bronx, New York.

The musician assured that in his 26 years of experience: “I have never disrespected my audience, I have never been late, I have never canceled a show. This is simply, totally to blame, the company that organized the event.”

The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that Araujo Durán operated from the New Man Training Center, a prison facility in Caracas, where he organized musical shows in complicity with the director of the prison, identified as Argenis Guerra, who was arrested, along with other prison officials.

Araujo Durán, with internal support in his place of confinement, also allegedly defrauded the organizers of a concert last March by reggaeton singer Anuel AA, added the attorney general’s office, which hopes to extend the prisoner’s sentence.

The Public Ministry will also request, as a preventive measure, the prohibition of alienating and encumbering assets, as well as the immobilization of all the assets of the investigated companies, reported the Prosecutor’s Office.
