He had only been in the United States for nine months. Yessenia Rodríguez Márqueza Cuban who was murdered last Saturday night.

According to a television report Univision 23the main accused of the crime is the victim’s boyfriend, identified as Alexander Roque.

Yessenia, 44, had been in a relationship with her partner, 48, for three months.and at that time the family warned him about some details they observed in the man’s behavior.

“I told her that this man seemed strange to me, like he seemed crazy, but she said no, he was a good and calm man,” he told Univision the victim’s ex-sister-in-law.

Roque surrendered to the authorities after driving to the Florida City police station with the body of the deceased.

The arrest report indicates a call made to Yessenia’s ex-husband, in which Roque informed him that he had killed the woman in the vehicle, along with a photo of her in the vehicle.

Likewise, Yessenia’s family assures that days before the homicide she was held captive with her 12-year-old daughter.

This Monday, Roque appeared in a Miami-Dade court and a judge denied him the right to bail, facing charges of second-degree murder.

The Miami-Dade Police Homicide Bureau has taken over this investigation. Meanwhile, Yessenia’s mother, who resides in Ecuador, is asking for a humanitarian visa to say goodbye to her daughter.
