A Cuban identified on Facebook as Rafael León is offering a 10,000-peso reward to anyone who gives him information about a thief who broke into his Las Tunas home on Thursday and stole his young son’s bicycle.
The intruder was caught by the home surveillance camerasand the video shared by the user on the social network.
In it, the man is seen stealthily going down the stairs, and carrying various items, including the vehicle.
According to information from the camera, the event occurred on August 10 at 07:22 in the morning.
The thief allegedly entered through the roof of the house and the first thing he loaded was the children’s bicycle.
The man was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, white shorts and tennis shoes. He was young and looked confident, users of the aforementioned platform noted.
A woman reported that she knows of several similar cases that have gone to the police with the video of the house and the response from the authorities has been “we have to investigate, we cannot act directly, as soon as we know something we will report it.”
“And what is there to investigate with an explicit image of the crime and data on the person involved? Well, we don’t know, but it seems that it takes a lot of time and effort for the cops, and then they need a whole event to deliver a cell phone, as if it were extraordinary and not his normal job,” he questioned.
Thefts have increased throughout the island in the context of the generalized serious economic crisis and galloping inflation.
In July, a thief was also captured from another house in Las Tunas while stealing a parked bike on the street.
Likewise, a woman from that same province denounced that her house had been robbed five timesand that the criminals took up a part of the roof.
