Toluca, Mexico.- Óscar Emilio Rodríguez, father of the honorary president of the DIF of Toluca, Viridiana Rodríguez, is accused of the alleged theft of official documentation and articles that belonged to the children’s rooms administered by the agency.

According to municipal sources, the father-in-law of the PRI mayor of Toluca, Raymundo Martínez Carbajal, was the one who managed the acquisitions and purchases of the institution, without having any position as a public official.

The Director of the DIF, Iván Arturo López Zepeda, filed the complaint with the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) on April 13 after detecting the lack of material and documentation in the inventory of the DIF Toluca Municipal System.

The DIF indicated among the missing items the alleged theft of stationery, receipts, notes, invoices, and internal marking material, with the legends “INFANTS, PREPARATORY, MATERNAL” was recorded.

The complaint was recorded in the folder TOL/TOL/TOL/107/10198/23/04, the property being directly affected, a warehouse where acquisitions from the farms were stored, located in Colonia Morelos.
