They present the show Un Poyo Rojo in Miami, with Luciano Rosso and Alfonso Barn

MIAMI.- FUNDarte presents A Red Poyo, by Poyo Rojo, on April 12 and 13, 2024, at 8:00 pm, at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium as part of its Out In The Tropics series.

Out In The Tropics is an annual international performing arts series featuring bold and innovative artists tackling issues of gender politics, sexuality and LGBTQIA+ identity.

In an empty locker room, two men play with movement, an analog radio and tiny underwear. The athletic bodies of Luciano Rosso y Alfonso Barn They move fluidly from fight to dance, from acrobatics to physical comedy in an irresistible distortion of the expectations of manhood.

A fun, raw and playful hour, in which competitiveness and camaraderie intermingle, as well as seduction and sabotage, shows the best of contemporary Argentine dance.

About the artists:

Un Poyo Rojo was founded in Argentina in 2008 and has performed to sold-out performances throughout the country. The show set out to conquer Latin America and Europe in 2015 when it began its first world tour. The work is performed by Alfonso Barón and Luciano Rosso, two multi-talented dancers, actors and choreographers. Trained in five types of dance, Luciano Rosso is a true star in his native country. His YouTube channel, filled with lip-syncing videos, has millions of views. Hermes Gaido, a leading stage director and graduate of the Buenos Aires Academy of Art, directed the work.
