An ordinance project presented by the opposition in the Deliberative Council of La Plata proposes repair and change, if necessary, the nomenclature signs of all the streets from the city.
The initiative, which was presented by the president of the Frente de Todos bloc, She had Lambertiand sets the creation of a “Urban Signage Plan 2023-2025” which has as its objective “the repair and/or preparation” of the nomenclators of all the streets corresponding to the municipal ejido that so deserve it.
The Municipality is already implementing a plan in this sense that began with the change of 3,000 nomenclators in various neighborhoods of the Party. The Secretary of Public Spaces is in charge of placing the posters, which has already been completed in City Bell y Sicardibut they continue in other neighborhoods of the city such as Arana, Colonia Urquiza y Supply. The objective is to renew 100% of the nomenclators in the urban area, place 1,300 in the localities, with the collaboration of the staff of each delegation, others at the intersections of the access arteries such as General Belgrano Road44, 60 and 66, and also in new real estate developments that are advancing in different areas of the district.
In the ordinance project, the opposition requests that the Municipal Executive perform a survey of all the localities of the party of La Plata and carry out the plan”respecting the decision that the signage of the town is provided with the same nomenclature of the type that is used in the Historic District”. Also available a period not exceeding two years to finish with the replacement in the city.
When presenting the project at the venue, Lamberti said that in various parts of the city “A lot of signage is missing, it has to do not only with locating us or knowing the direction of traffic, but also how we can get there quickly in an emergency. In some neighborhoods signage is practically non-existent”.
“We need a comprehensive signaling plan that can resolve this deficit,” Lamberti remarked and pointed out that for this reason “we propose that this placement be done within a period of two years.”
The project, which was accompanied by the councilors Ana Negrete, Sabrina Bastida, Luis Arias y Cynthia Mansillawas turned over to the Planning and Treasury commissions of the Council for their next treatment.
