They rescue with Narcan a puppy drugged with heroin by its owners;  they prosecute the couple

A Hammonton, New Jersey, couple has been charged with animal cruelty and illegal drug possession for allegedly drugging their own puppy with heroin.

These are Clinton Danks, 58, and Kristina Meyers, 37, who would have exposed a Yorkshire Terrier to the drug before abandoning it to its fate at the Walmart of the mentioned municipality in Mays Landing.

Customers and employees of the store alerted 911 on November 17, 2022. Upon arrival, the police officers ran into a person who was trying to revive the dog without success.

After several months of investigation, it was concluded that the animal’s owners, Danks and Meyers, exposed it to heroin. And to revive him the Police administered a child dose of Narcan.
