In a day that brought together thousands of tourists on the different beaches of Mar del Plata, due to the heat and the run-up to the weekend, the sea was violent throughout Friday.
In this context, while a live C5N mobile was being developed from Playa Grande, one of the busiest beaches in Mar del Plata, the lifeguards rescued a young man who could not get out due to the waves.
After the rescue, which was recorded by C5N cameras, the tourist gave his testimony. “The lifeguard came, grabbed my arm and three more lifeguards appeared, turned me on my back and took me out,” he said.
Despite the moment of despair that he experienced, he confirmed “to be calm” since the rescuers acted instantly. “They are a re-team, they know what to do, the truth is that without them I would not be here,” he added, in the form of thanks.
