A miracle happened last Sunday, January 29. A group of cleaning workers, who were doing their work, they were surprised that in one of the garbage bags was a newborn baby. The minor was found alive in the middle of the rubbish, in the district of The Augustinian.

“She’s alive, old man,” says one of the workers to his colleague, who, upon seeing the newborn, did not hesitate to place her in his arms to protect her. According to the images, it is seen that the minor is covered with a black bag and a white blanket.

Likewise, the staff immediately reported the case to the authorities and she was transferred to the Hipólito Unanue Hospital, where she is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The Ministry of women and Vulnerable Populations also announced that a team from the Special Protection Unit went to the health center to collect information on the case.

The director of the Hipólito Unanue Hospital, Andres Alcantara, He mentioned that the health status of the newborn is reserved, because she is premature, so she would remain hospitalized for about three months.

“She is diagnosed with a generalized infection, a premature girl, with an immature lung. Due to her condition and experience, the minor will be with us for around three months,” the doctor told TV Peru.

The minor has been receiving different antibiotics and oxygen through a mechanical ventilator. “She has an average of six months, knowing that the normal average is nine. She has come with the placenta ”, mentioned the doctor Sheyla Diaz, Head of the Neonatology service.

In this sense, the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) will cover all the expenses of the treatment of the little girl. The doctors in this area have named her “Andreita”, for which they trust that she will recover soon.
