Mexico City.- Mexican fans moved heaven, sea and earth to attend the Mexico Series at the Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium.

Regardless of whether the stars were the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants, fans from Aguascalientes and Puebla put together their own tour to enjoy the “King of Sports.”

“It’s a dream to be here, we are hardly going to be able to witness a Major League game and especially come with my friends Guadalupe, Eduardo, Tereso, Don Jesús, Marco and Juan Manuel. We had some shirts made with the Mexico logo Series and behind comes our last name, which is what distinguishes us the most.

“We bought the tickets since October because we came to support the two teams, and as the date got closer, we chose the lodging, the transportation and the whole plan to tour. It is the first time that it has been presented here in Mexico because it is the stadium newer,” commented Edgar Alejandro Gonzáles.

From Huauchinango, Puebla, Cuauhtémoc Castillo arrived at Diamante de Fuego with his father and uncles and a specially designed Mexican flag that always accompanies them to the games of the Mexican Baseball League.

“We, in general, support the LMB teams, but being able to be here, living with many people from the United States, is a unique opportunity. It’s something nice, because it’s the first time the MLB has come here to the CDMX.

“Now hearing the National Anthem on a Major League stage gave us goosebumps and being seen as the venue fills us with pride,” said Castillo.
