Two people were injured Monday when a branch fell on them while touring the Japanese Garden. The moment was recorded by tourists visiting the iconic place in the Palermo neighborhood.
The moment in which the impact occurred was immediately captured by witnesses and the images quickly went viral on social networks.
The branches began to detach and fell on top of the victims who, suffering minor injuries, were immediately assisted.
It is worth noting that as a result of the incident, the Palermo establishment closed its doors once the event took place.
“I went for a walk with some relatives in the Japanese garden and ended up surviving the fall of a tree of more than 10 meters,” Tamara Ramos commented on Twitter after the incident.

The young woman indicated that she “just wanted to see some fortune cookies that were being sold in some stalls” when “she heard a noise that sounded like a shooting” because of the tree that was falling. Then a Brazilian tourist shouted warning of the imminent fall of the tree and everyone started running, she explained.
