Juarez City.- As part of the celebration for Mother’s Day, Bishop José Guadalupe Torres Campos will preside over a mass dedicated to mothers in the central chapel of the Ciudad Juárez Council Seminary, starting at 8:00 in the morning.

For three years, the Diocese of Ciudad Juárez has celebrated this mass in honor of the local mothers, an event that is also dedicated to the Virgin of Guadalupe, since she is the main image of the Catholic Church, said Father Arturo Veleta.

“Fundamentally, the Church would not understand itself with this image, and our first image is the Virgin Mary, and we are retaking this concept because it is what gives life to our Church and society,” he said.

He announced that they expect the visit of more than 600 mothers of families to listen to the words of the Catholic hierarch as part of this celebration.

In addition, at the end of the Eucharist, at 9:00 in the morning, there will also be a breakfast, which will be exclusive for the mothers who obtained one of the tickets that were offered during the month of April, informed the priest. Veleta explained that during the celebration, which will take place at the Ciudad Juárez Council Seminary, there will be live music and a serenade will be offered for the mothers who attend the celebration; In addition, various items will be raffled.

He explained that the intention of this event is to continue the tradition of celebrating mothers, since they are the pillars of Mexican families and the main ones in charge of transmitting values within the home.

The special mass will be tomorrow, Wednesday, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Seminary, located at Avenida Pedro Rosales de León 7860, while breakfast will be served from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for those who obtained their ticket. .
