Rather than waiting for your subway, what if you built it in LEGO? A fan of the brick brand imagined what the Pasteur station on line 6 of the Paris metro could look like if it were transformed into a LEGO set. And this original idea could well become a real box of games…

The Paris metro, there are those who hate it, those who love it, and those who turn it into LEGO. Today, it is rather this third category, undoubtedly the rarest, which is center stage. A Frenchman, who can be described as a “Master Builder” at this stage, imagined what could give the Pasteur station of line 6 in LEGO version. And the result is really very interesting!

The Metropolitan in LEGO, even the RATP had not thought of it

This creation starts on the surface, with the classic entrance to the Métropolitain, a Morris column and a bookseller’s stand. The visit continues in the basement, with a portion of rails that accommodates a metro trainvarious advertising displays and the indicator that we are indeed within the Pasteur station.

From the reference to the Paris Catacombs to the turnstiles to get to the platform, the creator of this set has thought of everything. “I have lived in Paris for several years now and have always been fascinated by its metro, which was built over 100 years ago. It is like the blood system of this city, visionary and still perfectly adapted to the needs of the inhabitants of Paris », he explains. If the last point may make the daily users of the RATP transport network wince, they will not be able to deny that theyou immediately recognize the style of the Paris metro.

“This LEGO project represents the Pasteur station, one of the stations that has retained its period decor. I wanted to represent this set a little like a piece of cake that would be extracted from the ground and would allow us to see how these works are arranged under the Parisian soil, sometimes a meter or two from the surface. »

A LEGO set that could become reality with a little support

This set, named “Le Métropolitain: Don’t miss your train!” » has been
submitted on the LEGO Ideas platform. The latter allows amateur builders to propose concepts of LEGO boxes that could well see the light of day, provided thatat least 10,000 people vote for them. As these lines are written, there are already more than 4500 supporters of the project.

The project has also received the support of Florent Giry, deputy mayor of Paris Center, who shared it on Twitter.

There are still more than 500 days left for the project to reach 10,000 supporters and this milestone is well within reach.. If the RATP decides to support this initiative, it could be a real plus. Such a LEGO box could represent a great advertisement for the transport network, but also for the city of Paris: a few months after the arrival of the gigantic Eiffel Tower in LEGO, this project has something to dream about. As a bonus, it is perhaps the only Paris metro station that does not smell of wee.
