Last November we reported that Ubisoft games were coming back to Steam. In the coming months, the company’s titles were gradually published on the platform. This is exactly what has now been continued with a game that was convincing in many places in autumn 2021. Until now, if you wanted to experience the open-world title on the PC, you could only do it for the Epic Games Store acquire. But that changed just a few days ago.
Far Cry 6 is now available on Steam
Far cry 6 (buy now €27.99 / €53.99 ) does not necessarily represent a revolution in the series for many people. Our test of the title also makes it clear that the game does not necessarily function as a milestone in the series. Nevertheless, the title has numerous qualities that are still valid almost a year and a half after its original release. In the run-up, the setting in particular caused a sensation. The players in Cuba are confronted with the dictator Antón Castillo.
In addition to a charismatic villain and the unique setting, there are other well-established strengths of the series. Once again there are a lot of tasks to do, to explore an open world with all its characters and to complete the main story about Castillo. A meta score of 74 for the PC version is ultimately impressive. The user score of 3.5, on the other hand, cannot come close to this classification.
Far Cry 6 is currently available on Steam in all variants known to date. In addition to the standard edition, the deluxe edition, the gold edition and the game-of-the-year edition are also available. Incidentally, the game will be offered at a reduced price until May 25th. For example, you can use the standard edition for 15 euro instead of 59.99 euros.
