Three strangers robbed a supermarket in Marl on Saturday. According to police, a perpetrator held a gun to the head of an employee.

Three unknown perpetrators attacked a supermarket in Marl on Saturday evening. They threatened the employees with a gun and a knife and escaped with the daily earnings, the police said.

The men had entered the shop in the Brassert district shortly after closing time through the main entrance door, which was still open. They went to the office where the three employees were doing the daily accounting and threatened them with their guns. After the robbery, the perpetrators, wearing black masks, fled on foot. (dpa)
