Three Hispanic girls and an adult injured in a spectacular collision on Roosevelt Boulevard

A Hispanic girl is in critical condition, while two others and an adult were injured in a spectacular accident on Roosevelt Boulevard in northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon.

The collision, which involved multiple vehicles, was reported to have occurred at the intersection of the boulevard and Southampton Road at about 6:07 p.m.

We know that a seven-year-old girl who was not wearing a seatbelt was ejected from the vehicle in which she was traveling and suffered several injuries. She was first transported by paramedics to Jefferson University Hospital and admitted in critical condition. Once she is stabilized she will be transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for child care.

Two other girls, ages four and 11, were injured in the collision and were transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and admitted in stable condition. Both are expected to make a satisfactory recovery.

A 32-year-old Hispanic man was also taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for minor injuries.

So far details of the cause of the incident are unknown, but the investigation is still active.
